Influence of Different Annealing Temperatures on the Structural and Optical Properties of TiO<sub>2</sub> Nanoparticles Synthesized via Sol-Gel Method: Potential Application as UV Sensor

In this research, TiO2 thin films were prepared using a simple sol-gel spin coating process. The characterized Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM), Energy Dispersive Ray (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Ultraviolet–visible Spectrophotometer in order to investigate the influence of different annealing temperatures structural optical properties TiO2. surface morphology images from FE-SEM display uniform layer nanoparticles with sample 500 °C possess most visible spherical grain nanoparticles. EDX spectra confirm presence Ti O elements samples. XRD pattern demonstrate that are crystalline at temperature 600 peak (101) intensity was increased as increased. They exist anatase phase preferred plane orientation (101). calculated crystallite size for samples is 19.22 28.37 nm, respectively. also possessed excellent absorption ultraviolet (UV) region band gap energy ranging 3.32 3.43 eV. These results can be fundamental fabrication UV sensing device.
